Free Pool Water Test in Windhoek

Water is precious in Namibia. Every litre in your pool matters, so keeping it clean, clear and sanitised is a smart way to look after it. That's why we offer a free pool water test at Hogwicks in Windhoek. Bring in a sample, and we'll tell you exactly what your pool needs. The test is free, with no conditions.

Whether you've just filled a new pool, your water looks a little dull, or you simply want peace of mind before the summer holidays, a quick test takes the guesswork out of pool care.

How to take a good water sample

A good sample gives a good result. Here's how to take one:

Use a small bottle that's new, or one that has only held water, so your reading is accurate.
Take the water from elbow depth for a clear, accurate reading, away from the skimmer and the return jets.
Close the bottle and keep it out of the hot sun.
Bring it in within 30 minutes, so the result shows your pool exactly as it is right now.

That's all there is to it. Pop in on your way to work, or on a Saturday morning.

What we check

Our free test covers the key things that keep your water balanced:

Sanitiser (chlorine): This is what keeps your water clean and hygienic, so it's the first thing we look at.
pH: Balanced pH keeps swimming comfortable for eyes and skin, and helps your chlorine work properly.
Total alkalinity: This helps keep your pH steady, so your water stays balanced for longer.
Stabiliser, when needed: If our team feels it's worth checking, we test stabiliser too, since it helps your chlorine last longer in strong sunshine.

We explain each result in plain words, so you know exactly where your pool stands.

What happens next

Once we have your results, we recommend the right products from the BioGuard range for your pool. BioGuard is a trusted name in pool care, and we're proud to stock it. Because the recommendation is based on your own water, you buy only what your pool needs, which saves time, effort and money.

Not sure how much to add, or when? Just ask. We'll walk you through it step by step, so you can treat your pool with confidence. Find out more about our BioGuard pool chemicals and bulk chlorine in Windhoek.

Why balanced water matters in Namibia

Namibia's strong sun and summer heat are great for swimming, and they also work your pool water hard. Balanced water stays clearer for longer, feels more comfortable to swim in, and helps protect your pump, filter and pool surface. A regular test is a simple way to keep everything running smoothly all season, so your family can spend more time in the water and less time worrying about it.

A tip for lodges, guesthouses, schools and body corporates
